HI Doctor , My Wife Regularly Complains About The Burning
Question: HI Doctor , My wife regularly complains about the Burning sensation outside and some times inside Vagina , we went to our Family Gynecologist , further family physician
They suggested the urine culture report ( attached is the Report -1 taken on 14-03-19) Basis the Reports and suggested by doctor she had taken Amitas - 500 Mg twice a day for 5 days ( attached are the Prescrptions)
still she felt the Burning and we have done urine culture again on 21-05-19 ( Attached is the Report-2)
We need your complete review and advise on
1. Possible causes of infection
2. Impact of the infection
3. Possible Treatment for the infections
4. Curable or she need to live with that life long
kindly advise

Based on the facts and urine culture reports of your wife that you have posted she seems to have chronic UTI due to Klebsiell Pneuminae organisms .
As per you your statement she has been given antibiotics only for 5 days which is incomplete to eradicate the infection .
Since bacteria always change their sensitivity pattern to antibiotics and all the reports that you have uploaded are more than 4 weeks old I would suggest you to repeat urine culture and start taking appropriated antibiotics as per culture report.
UTI due to Klebsiella Pneumoniae infection takes long time to get cured as compared to E-Coli infection hence She will need to take antibiotics for a period of ten days to two weeks antibiotic .
There is nothing to be worried .Infection can be controlled with antibiotic with proper and judicious treatment with appropriate antibiotics.
