Brief Answer:
Salt is not the only source of iodine.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using "Ask a doctor" service.
Although iodized salt is a convenient and easy way to up your intake of iodine, it's not the only source of it. In fact, it's entirely possible to meet your iodine needs without consuming iodized salt. Other good sources include seafood, dairy products, grains and eggs.
At the end, if you are taking enough jodine or nit in the long term, you can only know by measuring its levels in your blood or by measuring the thyroid hormone levels.
I hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:
High TSH means you may have hypothyroidism.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for the follow up question.
Yes indeed. TSH is the hormon directly related with thyroid and jodine.
If TSH is high means that your thyroid is making less hormones so you have hypothyroidism. In this case this means there is not enough jodine in your body.
I don't know how much the TSH is, but if it is enough high you need to take thyroid tablets which have the hormone of thyroid in them. Maybe it is not enough elevayed to start taking medicines? Thyroid is a very important gland and if produces less hormones can give a lot of symptoms like fatigues, weight gain, dry skin, constipation, ect.
I hope I have answered your question.
