I have viewed the images. I don't really think you need to take bactrim. This is most likely balanitis. I think you can try using clotrimazole 1% cream, twice daily. You may also take a tablet of fluconazole 150mg for 3 days. Avoid soap or anything harsh etc. Take care.

I was prescribed clotrimizole by the first dermatologist. It didnt really improve anything. My second opinion from another dermatologist gave me Nystatin which also didn't eradicate the problem. I asked the second doc for another option which he gave me the 5 days of Terbinifine. After 5 days of terbinifine and nystatin the issue still exists.

When i first signed on to this site I was helped by a urologist instead of a dermatologist. He was the one who mentioned using Bactrim DS. Is there something I can do to find out if this is a fungal issue or maybe bacterial?
