Brief Answer:
Follow the advice below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Propranolol works best for alleviating tremors in the arms and hands.
It does not work for head tremors. Propranolol treatment usually starts at a low dose of 40 mg.
It can be increased gradually to an optimal dose.
Essential tremor is a permanent, life-long condition once it starts. It’s not curable, and it doesn’t go away on its own.
So,you probably have to use it for a longtime period.
If you have to tapper of, it should be done gradually.
You should lower the dose to 20 mg for a couple of weeks and then to stop totally the treatment.

Hope my answer was helpful.
