Hello! Thanks for putting your query in XXXXXXX I am a Gastroenterologist (DM).
I appreciate your concern regarding your illness. I will advise you to restart dexilant as acid suppression is most important in prevention of further progression of Barretts esophagus, along with a prokinetic agent like domperidone which will further help in reducing reflux. Dexilant starts working with in 2-3 dose. Once there is Barretts esophagus it will never heal. You have to on regular surveillance depending on the grade of dysplasia which you haven't mentioned. For example if there is no dysplasia then you have to undergo endoscopic examination with in 3 years again. Few more steps which I found very useful in my patients for prevention of reflux are:

1.Avoid fatty meals
2. Don’t lie down soon after meals for at least half hour
3.Take small and frequent meals, instead of full meals at a time
4. wear loose clothes
5. If you are overweight or obese do weight reduction with dieting and exercise
6. head end elevation while sleeping
