Had A High Bilirubin Level And Now Sudden Drop. Cause?

Question: I had a high bilirubin level of 1.3 two weeks ago...After a re-test it is now 0.1 what would cause the drop? down t o 0 .1 after a retest
Brief Answer:
Bilirubin is a dynamic molecule.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
A bilurubin level of 1.3 will not be considered as high as it is only very slightly elevated
And it can be from 0 to 1.2 mg/dl.
Bilirubin is the end product of red blood cell break down, and RBCs have a life span of about 80 to 120 days, so occasionally more RBCs might die off hence slight increase in the bilirubin and vice-versa. Absolutely nothing to worry about.
Hope this answers your question.
Wishing you good health.
Warm Regards.
