Had An X-Ray After Acute Bronchitis. What Are The Findings?
Central trachea.
Thank you.
I have reviewed the report that you submitted regarding your radiology study.
There is nothing in the report that suggests any type of cancer. There are some changes in the blood vessels at the time of the actual study which indicate that there may have been some degree of fluid retention. If you have long-standing hypertension this can sometimes happen. Also if you have some type of acute illness this can also cause some changes such as those that are described.
After you have recovered from your illness I would suggest that you see your primary care doctor to discuss management of your hypertension. Your doctor might consider obtaining an echo cardiogram To evaluate your heart function. This would be an appropriate comprehensive workup for what we see on the x-ray.
Thank you for sending your question.
