Question: My 30 year old son was hit in the testicles by a softball Wednesday night. He still has pain & swelling. What should he do at this point? See a Dr, keep icing the area daily? How long should swelling last in a case like that?

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
After the injury, persistent swelling and pain in the area even after three days is likely to be due to an XXXXXXX hematoma.
He needs to have a complete examination and investigations like ultrasound scan to detect the extent of injury.
Please visit your physician for a detailed examination and necessary investigations so that proper treatment can be initiated.

I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
