Brief Answer:
No need to change anything
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
As long as you are not bothered by problems of voiding, you do not need to change anything. If further medication is troublesome, I suggest minimally invasive surgery to reduce the volume of your prostate. This requires personal urological consultation.
Best wishes.
Thanks

Thank you but will the finasteride side effects go away or is there a lower dose than five that will be effective and not have as many side effects. I will consult the urologist, back in two months. Let me know what you think or should I just take terazosin only my urologist doesn't seem to worry that much if I'm on both meds or just the terazosin, if I could avoid surgery I would do it.
Brief Answer:
You can take a lower dose of finasteride
Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
You can try a lower dose of finasteride, e.g. 2 mg, but then you probably need to get new tablets, unless your 5mg tablets can be divided in two.
Hope this helps.
