Brief Answer:
There is no infection or any health hazard involved

Detailed Answer:
Hi...
Welcome to "Ask a Doctor"service.
I am Dr Ajeet XXXXXXX

I have gone through your query and here is my opinion.

Once, the umblical cord of a newborn is cut,due to loss of blood supply,it gets shrivelled, shrunken and the cells die.
There is no chance of any infection when the host tissue is not alive.

You should not worry and just relax.
Continue to take use of all the stuff in the cabinet and there is no health hazard involved.

Stay healthy and stay blessed.
Regards

Thank u very much for your answer sir .
My doubt is that it has been not exposed to air and it is in the cupboard for 12 long years thats why i am worried that it might have some microbes.
There are several things in the cuppord like land documents which i can't santinize . .
This worry is making me very very depressed.
Will be waiting for u r answer

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.

Please do not overthink and just relax.

Once you have thrown the umblical stump, there is no residual infection or any health hazard.
You don't need to sanitize the stuff.

Happy living.

Brief Answer:
There is no infection or any health hazard involved

Detailed Answer:
As soon as a person dies, there starts the decomposition of proteins, breakdown of the bonds between tissues and the liquefaction process.
This decomposition of organic matter is caused by bacterial or fungal digestion,.
This stage of putrefaction is infective as the bacteria and fungi are thriving.

Once there is complete decay of body's tissues, and there is no organic matter for the bacteria and fungi to thrive, there is no risk of any further infection.
