Brief Answer:
Fungal infection
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have gone through your query and I have noted your concern.
Perhaps you have a fungal infection which is common in body folds like between butt cheeks, groin folds etc. The reason fungal infection is common at these sites is because the folds trap moisture and provide warm, humid conditions which are favorable for the fungus to grow. I suggest you to use an antifungal dusting powder e.g clotrimazole dusting powder in between butt cheeks, twice daily. It would absorb moisture and at the same time inhibit fungal growth.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you need any more assistance.

Brief Answer:
Regarding intertrigo and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
You may use the powder regularly. It would prevent itching too. At night you may use an OTC antifungal cream. Also can take a tablet of an oral antihistamine e.g cetirizine 10mg tablet once a day for a few days for symptomatic relief from itching. Continue it for 4 weeks.
Later you may use a kojic acid based cream to lighten dark skin.
Take care.

Regarding skin lightening
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Laser can be used anywhere on body. You may take sessions of Q switched Nd:YAG laser at low energy/ fluence to achieve skin lightening. You may visit a laser specialist and they would be able to assess and recommend what best can be achieved. Bleaching creams are not recommended as they may cause irritation and may hence darken rather than lighten the skin. I suggest you to use a kojic acid based cream as it is safe and effective anywhere in body.
Take care.
