Hard Lump Lower Back Right Side Between Top Of Hip

Question: Hard lump lower back right side between top of hip bone and lower ribs. 44 year old fit male, non-smoker. No pain to the touch. Feels about the size of a grape. What is it most likely? I did have a hard fall on my back about a year ago in that area, but I'm not sure if that could be related. I want to know chances of something like kidney cancer as that's what comes up when you use Dr. Google. :( Can you feel a lump from the kidney that close to the surface? I included a image with the relative location. It's right above the top of the hip bone.

It's actually on the left side, same position. I was turned around when drawing the spot. As I said, when running my finger over it it feels like a small marble or end of a pinky finger. Doesn't move around. Feels like it's just under the dermis.

In your case I don’t think that you have to be concerned.It maybe lipoma ore cystic formation probably.

All so you may have a ultrasound in this aera

Okay, thanks. I agree that an exam would be the best option. The hospitals have been seeing people only for coronavirus cases, so I have to wait a bit longer to get seen, which is why I was asking objectively.

If it were related to the kidney, and to the point where a lump can be felt through the surface of the skin, would there be other obvious symptoms along with it?

In my opinion its not related to kidney cancer,due to the facts that its not classic symptom of kidney cancer ,and it’s seems like lipoma or cyst
