Has Diabetes And Has Insulin, Had Plaque In Kidney. Takes Omperazole. Suggest?

What medication should she go on?
Thanks for this query.
Plaques in her kidney reflect plaques in renal blood arteries. This is one of the known complications of long standing diabetes. The risks of developing more plaques are higher if she has other risk factors such as uncontrolled sugars, high blood pressure, obesity and coronary artery disorders.
This plaque causes kidney (renal) artery blockade. How an individual presents and what would be the progress depend on the severity of block and number of risk factors present.
There are number of treatment options both conservatively and surgically available to treat this. The best and effective treatment however will depend on the current symptoms, renal function level and severity of blockage. She will need to be started on medications to control cholesterol, blood pressure control (if pressures are elevated) and to improve renal compromise symptoms. The treatment needs to be frequently modified according to the needs - therefore regular follow ups will be of importance.
I hope this answer is informative. If you would like to have a simplified answer, please explain your aunt's current symptoms, her current blood pressure / blood sugar report, results of other test done so far - especially the renal function report and the scan reports (you may scan the reports and upload them on to this webpage using the site’s uploader).
Best Regards
