Question: hello doctor,
my father has stone in both kidney.HERE IAM GIVING THE ULTRA SOUND REPORT DONE 2 MONTHS BACK AND ONE LATEST ONE DONE TODAY MORNING.I WOULD LIKE UR OPINION AND COMPARISION OF NEW AND OLD REPORTS.

Hello, Mr . Samdel XXXXXXX , thanks for query & hope all family members are in good healthy.
The ultrasound reports previous one and new one is showing very good progress.
Let me explain as,
5/ 6 / 2013 Right Kidney a calculus ( stone ) 5.5 mm in upper calyx .
Left kidney a calculus 6.4 mm in lower calyx .
Prostate mildly enlarged so don't bother as there are so many treatment available for this ,but at present no need of any treatment for prostate.
X XXXXXXX report radio opaque shadow shows left renal calculus as stone was also present in Ultrasound report .
No calculus seen in X XXXXXXX on right side ,but this may be due to nature of stone so don't worry at all.
Now latest report as,
The sizes of both kidneys are normal and no any KIDNEY disease present.
Bilateral renal granular concretion of 2 mm size are seen i.e. on both kidneys there are stone ( one on each side ) and this time size has reduced and this time its size is around 2 mm .
The concretion means a collection of hard mass accumulation and this become possible due to treatment which your father has taken for kidney stone .
This treatment is most efficient and please keep it till both stones expels from kidneys.
The disintegration of stones has started . Good luck for your all family members .

what about prostate should i check again after 2 months or leave it as it is.

As normally prostate in Indian ranges from 7-16 gm ( cc ) as in your father case it is 27 CC or gm so need not to worry .
At least wait for 1 year & there after get ultrasound for prostate as at present the age of your father is just 57 years so no chances of any enlargement .
2ndly it takes at least another 10 years for Benign prostatic hyperplasia ( we call as B P H i.e. not XXXXXXX at all ).
