Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor services.
I have read your query and here is my advise.
* As per my clinical experience, the hernia pain over groin presents during
activities ( such as walking, weight lifting, jumping etc ) which increase the
pushing of intestines in the groin region.
Kindly provide me further details so that I can answer your query completely.
1. Duration of hernia with progress.
2. Recent changes in weight if any ?
3. Details of any disturbances of bowel and bladder function.
4. How much distance can you walk without pain of hernia ?
5. Have you gone for any investigations as ultrasound of the groin region ?
and if yes, report available ?
Awaiting for your response.
Regards.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for the relevant details.
* Seems that larger amount of intestine loops are compressing the internal
inguinal ring or posterior rectus sheath to allow the protrusion of intestines
into groin region.
Guidelines at present
- limit straining activities such as swimming, running, jumping, weight lifting
or others if involved
- take care to have soft bowel evacuations with help of high fiber diet and if
needed bulk forming laxatives
- do not withheld urine for a long period of time, use washroom as and when
necessary
* It is highly recommended to undertake an ultrasound of the local region to
look for the size of defect and further management guidelines.
Wish you great recovery and health.
Take care.
