Have A Red Bump With A Raised Dark And Black Center. Should I Be Worried?
Question: I have a red bump or patch about the size of what would be a bug bite with a raised dark, almost black center. This is completely new and only noticed it today. It doesn't itch or anything either. Is this something that I need to worry about?

Thanks for the query.
lf lesions is asymptomatic you don't need to worry much.
In any type of infection inflammation there must be either pain or itch.
The black centre is probably due to accumulation of iron pigment derived from blood.
Slowly it will disappear.
However I would like to see an image of the lesion.
This will help of in giving a closer diagnosis.
Please upload a photograph.
Waiting for your response.
Thank you.
