Have A Squelching Sensation In Head. Like Sand In Brain. What Is This?
I constantly have to crack my neck as the left side tightens up almost like a muscular spasm. Its then releived by cracking it out and this is a regular occurence for me unfortunately. I would honestly say that this constant battle with my neck happens to frequently to be normal. I have tried to stop this habbit but its vertually impossible, almost like it builds up and builds up until you have no choice but to crack your neck, its not painfull but its a releif.
I have been to a consultant neorologist who recommended therapy. Hypnotherapy mixed with reiki seems to really work when I'm under. My symptoms really come alive almost as if my head is trying to de-stress :)
I have been scanned, x-rayed had MRI but all tests are positive and normal which is good news. I thought this would be long gone by now so obviously it worries me. I used to suffer from panic attacks and anxiety attacks because everywhere I turned was a dead end. When no one can help you all of a sudden you become stressed and worried which brings on an attack.
Please listen carefully to everything I have spoken about and any possible cures or advice would be fantastic news! Thank you so much for trying your best...
Thanks for the query.
After going through the list of problems in detail I personally feel many symptoms are related to your anxiety and stress. It does not seem to be due to Sarcoidosis as suggested by you. I would advise you to continue on Hypnotherapy to reduce your stress and anxiety. You can even try meditation and Yoga which are very effective.
Regarding the occurrence of neck spasms I feel it may be either dystonia or a motor TIC. If this is not disabling you, no treatment is required. If starts bothering I prefer you to XXXXXXX your GP/Neurologist to confirm and to get started on the medications.
I am sorry you are dealing with this frustrating concern. The bottom line is that you need to talk to your Psychologist to reduce your anxiety and stress if Hypnotherapy and meditations does not work.
I thank you again for the query. I hope you found my response to be helpful and informative. I you have any additional concerns I would be happy to address them.
Sincerely,
Dr Shiva Kumar R

Can you explain more about Dystonia/Motor TIC and inform me how best to tackle the situation?
Will my symptoms eventually get better in time in your professional opinion Dr Kumar? If so how long do you think I will suffer from this problem as I have dealt with it now for three years!
I saw Dr XXXXXXX Cromwell the country's leading neorologist who couldn't find anything wrong with me. He just advised accupunture and Hypnosis as I told him it seemed to help.
Can Dystonia/Motor TIC be treated and if I have either will I be able to put an end to it?
Thank you
Regarding the squelching sensation, it does not cause any injury or damage to your brain. It gets better over time. Continue acupuncture and Hypnosis as advised by Dr. XXXXXXX
Regarding tics, motor tics are typically sudden, brief, meaningless movements that usually involve only one group of muscles, such as eye blinking, head jerking, or shoulder shrugging. Whereas Dystonia is a neurological movement disorder, in which sustained muscle contractions cause twisting and repetitive movements or abnormal postures. No treatment is required for your simple motor tics.
