Have Blood In Sputum And Lumps Below Tonsil Inside Throat. What Might This Be?
Question: I have blood in my sputum and lumps below my tonsil inside my throat . What might this be?
Hi ,
Thank you for your query.
This might be a bad case of pharyngitis. It causes pain in the throat, and sometimes blood in sputum.
Kindly answer some questions to be able to comment better.
1. Do you smoke or consume alcohol?
2. Do you have fever?
3. Is this a recent problem or long standing one?
Gargle with betadine gargle thrice daily for 7 days.
Take rest and ensure good hydration.
Visit your physicians office and get a sputum examination and a throat swab done. He/she may also put you on some antibiotic for better relief.
Hope this answers your query. If you have any further queries you are free to consult me.
Wishing you a speedy recovery...

The problem is recent blood began about 4 days ago. There is no fever and I smoke on and off. Could this be throat cancer?
Hi,
Do not panic.
It doesn't seem to be carcinoma.
It seems to be a case of pharyngobronchitis of infective origin.
Take an antibiotic course for 7 days.
I hope you will be fine.
Do not worry.
Take care
