Dry mouth and excessive thirst raises a few possibilities , the most important of which is the diabetes.

Diabetes can present with dry mouth, excessive thirst, excessive urination get your fasting sugar checked as soon as possible.

In some cases of viral infection leading to fever , excessive thirst and dry mouth along with fever can occur for few days ,if it is happening for a few days ,get your body temperature checked as well.
