Have Hemorrhoids. Noticed Ridges In Stool. Cause?
Question: I have started noticing ridges on the side of my stools. I do have hemorroids. Could this be the cause?
Hi Maggie,
Thanks for posting your query.
The ridges in the stool can occur due to two reasons:
1. Constipation: Dehydrated stools usually give way to ridges on the stool
2. Haemorrhoids: While haemorrhoids usually change the shape of the out coming stool, especially XXXXXXX haemorrhoids
The following measures will also help:
1. Drink lots of water, at least 3 litres a day.
2. Have a high fibre diet. Fruits and vegetables having peels like XXXXXXX papaya and carrots are XXXXXXX in fibre.
I hope I have answered your query.
I wish you good health.
Regards
