Have Kidney Pain
Please tell me more about the kidney pain
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Kidney pain can come from many causes, most usually from infection that has come from the bladder up to the kidney. This will usually come with other symptoms such as fever and burning when urinating. This is usually quite severe, and so IV antibiotics are usually given to fight this kind of infection. Kidney stones would also be a common cause, which causes severe pain and sometimes may have visible blood in the urine. There are many other causes, and so usually the evaluation for kidney pain would start with urine testing and basic labs to look for any damage to the kidneys or signs of infection. Ultrasound is often done as well to look at the kidney, and CT scan can be done to look for any stones.
Please let me know if you had any other more specific questions about kidney pain, and I would be glad to discuss this further with you.
Thanks.
