Have Pain In Lower Back And Leg Pain. On Medication For Neck Problem. Suggest?

Typical symptoms of Lumbar disc disease.
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for writing to XXXXXXX
You have a classical presentation of symptoms which suggest a Lumbar disc disease. This means a protruded intervertebral disc in the lumbar spine is causing compression over the nerve root resulting in leg pain.
The initial management of this condition is as follows -
* Avoid lifting heavy weights as it imparts more strain on your back
* Avoid forward bending activities as it will worsen the disc protrusion
* Use a lumbosacral back support to augment your spinal muscles
* Intermittent pelvic traction may help in causing regression of disc
* Maintain optimum body weight,if you are obese
* Physiotherapy to strengthen your back muscles. Physiotherapy has to be done only after the acute pain has subsided.
* Judicious use of analgesics and muscle relaxants.
* Neurotropic medicines like Vitamin B2,B6 and B12 will help in decreasing neuritic pain.
If your radicular symptoms are not resolving with the above measures, you may need an Epidural steroid injection in your Lumbar spine.
Hope I have addressed your query. Happy to help further
