Have Psoriasis. How To Cure It?

Welcome to healthcare magic forum
I understand your query regarding psoriasis.
I would like to suggest following steps for skin care in psoriasis.
1) Keep your skin moist. Moisturizer is the simple, safe and effective treatment for psoriasis. You should apply moisturizer 3 times a day. VENUSIA XXXXXXX is good moisturizer cream. It will reduce scales and dryness.
2) Take plenty of water and fluid a day. It will keep your body and skin hydrated.
3) Avoid stress, smoking and alcohol. They aggravate psoriasis.
4) In resistant case, you need to apply salicylic or coaltar base cream also.
5) Avoid anything that is harsh for your skin. You have sensitive skin, so avoid alcohol base soap and detergent.
6) Add oil or oatmeal in water while taking bath. Use warm water for bath and avoid hot water.
7) You should apply sun screen regularly. Apply 20 minutes before sun exposure and re apply every 4 hours.
It is better to consult dermatologist regularly for proper treatment and management. In severe case you require some medicine that to be taken under guidance of dermatologist.
I hope I answered your query.
Let me know if you have any further query.

Thank you for writing back.
Phototherapy is old and established treatment modality for psoriasis. It is mainly use in resistant and complicated psoriasis. Three main types of phototherapy exist.
(1) Broadband UVB,
(2) Narrowband UVB,
(3) UVA.
A standard regimen consists of 30 sessions administrated 3 times a week.
Phototherapy is generally safe treatment; still it has some side effects like,
- Erythema, itching, blister, burning and stinging
- Cataract if eye protection not taken
- Reactivation of herpes virus
- Photo aging
- Chance of cancer like photo carcinogenesis and genital tumors
Let your dermatologist decide which modality of treatment is best for you.
I hope this help you.
If you have any additional concerns I would be happy to address them.

You should apply salicylic base cream only on thick patch for 2-3 weeks only.
It is available as DIPSALIC F ointment or LOBATE-S ointment. It should not be apply on face skin. For face skin you can apply TACROZ (0.1%) cream.
Hope this helps you.
