Have Recurrent UTI. Not Cured By Medicine. Looking For Proper Diagnosis
Question: i have a UTI.....ive had it twice...the first went away prett fast but this time ive had it for like 3 months or so....and took antibiotics cranberry juice and why cant it go away? Also every now and then a white thick mucus comes out of my vagina....wht is that and why does it come out?
Hi,
Welcome to XXXXXXX and thanks for your query.
Recurrent UTI needs low dose antibiotics for 3 to 6 months in about half the dose plus of course cranberry juice.
Meanwhile, ultrasound scan is necessary to look for stone or block in the urinary tract.
Uroflowmetry to check flow may be necessary.
If mucus is persistent, need evaluation by the gynecologist to look for local pathology like pelvic inflammatory disease.
Wishing you good health---
