Your wife obviously requires medical attention
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Thanks for posting on XXXXXXX
I understand that you must be stressed out right now, knowing that your wife requires medical attention and she refuses to accept any external help. At this point, you might be her only savior. If you say she is having fibromyalgia it means she must be in pain besides obviously having a digestive problem. To tell you the truth it will be a little difficult for you to handle her by yourself at home given that she requires counsel and support from a professional as her condition will need that she first accepts being treated (since most of it require her mind set to be positive).
For the fibromyalgia, you can try identifying areas on her body with the most pain, then place ice packs on them or get her to have a cool bath (not a cold icy bath). Get her to relax at most (avoiding stressful work). You can then get some over-the-counter pain medications such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen (it might help). She does require proper medical evaluation so she might have prescription pain medicines that can work for her. She also requires medications such as antidepressants, muscle relexants, sleeping aids etc (which I am afraid can not be gotten OTC).
As for her, staying for long in the toilet, that is certainly a problem mostly associated with a depressive state and if hard stool is present, the depression might make it seem worst. So do get her some OTC laxatives/stool softeners.
From your description, I am not in accord with the fact that her mental state is fine pointing to the fact that she refuses medical attention, stays in toilet for over 15 hours and has fibromyalgia (which is usually very associated with other psychological disorders such as chronic fatigue syndrome, depression, anxiety etc).
Hope this can help and wish you both the best.
