Having Itching, Dandruff And Lot Of Hair Fall. Darkness In Armpit And Abnormal Hair Growth On Chin. Suggest The Cure?
Question: I am asking this question on behalf of my fiancee.
She is having scalp problems like itching, drying, dandruff and lot of hair fall. Please suggest any medicines or home made remedies or proper diet for this problem.
She has other problems such as darkness at arm pits and abnormal hair growth (only few) at chin. How hair growth could be stopped and blackening at arm pits could be reduced?
Some times she works late night. Diet is mostly vegetarian but she is non-vegetarian and physical exercise is rare. Please let me know if you need more information.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
There can be two causes for all her problems.
1. Dandruff, which is a fungal infection and can be controlled easily.
2. PCOD, which is a hormonal imbalance and causes hair fall from scalp and growth of hair on face.
She can use the following medication.
No skurff lotion on scalp in night.
Sebowash shampoo in day to wash hair.
Tablet proanagen once daily.
The above will control hair fall.
I would also like to get her some tests done,
1. serum testosterone
2. 17 hydroxy progesterone.
The above tests will help in ruling out PCOD.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you

Hi Doctor,
Thanks for your reply. She has darkened arm pits. It caused because of applying hair removal creams. Now she is waxing but the darkness is not reducing. Could you please provide the solution for that.

Skin lightening cream can be used
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Waxing will not help in removing darkening.
She can apply a skin lightening cream for that.
Various creams like Melalite XL, Lookbrite etc are available in market.
Any of these can be used.
The procedure is to apply the cream, keep it for 3 hours and then wash.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.

Hi Doctor,
She is not having symptoms of PCOD such as ovulation problem, weight gain or extensive hair loss. There are only 10-15 hair at chin.
And regarding No skurff lotion, does she need to apply in night and wash it away in morning using Sebowash shampoo? Should it be done daily?
On the site http://acnemantra.com/acne-pimple-treatment-creams-india/ they say usage of Lookbrite is risky and should be avoided. Is it so? Are there any side effects? Which one is better Lookbrite or Melalite XL?
-Thanks

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
It is good that she is not having PCOD SYMPTOMS.
Yes noskurff is to be applied on scalp and left overnight and washed by sebowash shampoo in morning.
It has to be used daily for a month.
Lookbrite and melalite have same content.
These are just two company names so any of these can be used.
Its not harmful.
Just remember that it should not be left overnight.
It must be washed after 3 hours.
Thank you
