Question: Heart is forcefully beating, get flutters in my head that last for seconds, and get muscle jerks when I’m ready to relax. Also have extreme anxiety. Got 4 blood tests recently. Normal. 3 EKGs. Normal. Just in case, getting echocardiogram and holter monitor. Going to see a neurologist too. So anxious about every single little thing.

I’ve had numerous doctors mention anxiety. I swear, it’s not that I’m not listening. Please hear me out when I say I feel like something is wrong. I’m so scared I could throw up.

Visit a psychiatrist.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advic

Anxiety may be a reason for the rapid heart beat. I think you may also need to visit an endocrinologist to check your thyroid because high thyroid may contribute to rapid heart beat.
Also you may need to visit your psychiatrist better than a neurologyst to change your drugs to better manage anxiety.
B blockers also may be taken to manage rapid heart beat.
Hope I have answered the question.

Hi, again. I’ve had my thyroid checked and it’s normal. I’m sorry. I don’t mean to be annoying or a burden. I’m petrified because these physical symptoms scare me. I know the heart pounding can be symptom of anxiety, but I don’t know about the other symptoms.

But you don’t think it’s anything neurological, right? Also, would 3 EKGs that I got done show if there were Heart abnormalities?
