Hello - I Have Prostate Cancer And Had Radiation 3

1 - the last test was a PSA reading of 1.5, the previous one was .07 (and it is the the normal 6 month readings since 2015
my urologist thinks the readings are minuscule.
my oncologist says we should be concerned
just from the the brief description - your thoughts?
2 in a routine scheduled appointment with the urologist - on the test results there is a ICD-10 - R82.6 code and three ICD10 - R82.8 codes
what would these indicate is happening?
thank you
PSA readings not to be worried
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
PSA readings are not to be worried for many reasons:
- In prostate cancer the reading would be really high (above 15 or 20)
- Minor deviations happen normally in body and may even be due to instrument that is checking the levels
- Its anyways in normal range
- you do not have other symptoms?
ICD codes for reimursement purposes:
- ICD10 R82.6 CODE indicates abnormal urinary levels of substances that are non-medicinal
- ICD10 R82.8 Code indicates abnormal findings on cytological and histological examination of urine
If the above codes are being used, it just means that they found a chemical in your urine examination. It doesnot specify anything further.
Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
