Detailed Answer:
Hi and Welcome to Ask a Doctor service. I have read your question and here is my advice.
I am sorry to hear of the multiple problems you have been suffering from and I can understand your concern. Let me explain few points separately.
1. The recurrent yeast infection may well be related to high sugars but not necessarily. It's good you are cutting weight, and hope your sugar is well controlled, irrespective of the skin problems.
2. Regarding the concerns about skin lymphoma, this is not straight forward. Skin lymphoma can present like any skin disease and mostly need biopsy for diagnosis. However your lesion is unlikely to be lymphoma for few reason.
1. Lymphoma of skin is very rare.
2. Lymphoma of skin generally is loclaised and are raised nodular lesion.
3.the lesion persist and enlarges most of times.
4. There may be other symptoms like sweating, fever, enlarged lymph glands.
So there is little chance of it being lymphoma, though still possible and if not healed may need biopsy.but most skin lesion are not lymphoma. Yes, if it didn't heal, and if it could not be explained by other skin disease then we may do biopsy of the lesion.
The lesion may be, your lichen plans, drug reaction. Or eczema or even other skin problems. It needs seeing by skin specialist to see as what it can be. He would prescribe you treatment for the same. And would explain to you as what it can be. For the time being you can use antihistamines like zyretic and use emolients or calamine lotion to help the itch.
Best luck.
Hope I have answered your query. Please feel free to ask if you have any further questions or concerns. I will be glad to answer your questions.
Kind Regards Dr Mahboob ur Rahman
