Hello, 2 Days Ago I Cut The Skin Around My

Question: Hello, 2 days ago I cut the skin around my toe because I was feeling pressure of an ingrown toenail. It bled for a moment or so. But I have been soaking my foot is Epsom salt and warm water a few times daily. Would I be able to send a photo to see if it is becoming infected? I do not have much pain in the toe itself. Mostly around the cut.

attached is a photo
Brief Answer:
Skin not infected. Disinfect it with povidone iodine.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
I see the photo you attached of the toe and there is a small cut almost bleeding.
The skin around the cur looks quite normal in colour, not swollen and it doesn't seem infected.
I can advise you to stop using Epson salt on it.
Epsom salt is usually used to relax the muscles, reduced swelling and stiffness in joints.
I can recommend you to disinfect it with povidone iodine every day to prevent it from being infected.
Use a small plaster over it.
When you finish washing your body disinfect it again with povidone iodine.
You can send a photo of it to me again after two days to see if it gets better.
I think it would get healed in a week or so.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
