Hello 47 Year Old Women My Job Requires Me To

muscle injury?
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
since you can recall exactly when the pain first occurred, it's probably a muscular injury (sprain or strain). If you can reproduce the pain with certain moves then this diagnosis is very likely.
Other diagnoses like thrombosis usually have an indolent presentation. Fibromyalgia does not typically cause calf pain.
Another potential cause is a herniated disc that causes nerve compression. We usually expect a more widespread pain pattern but localized pain may occur sometimes.
An orthopedic specialist is the most appropriate person to treat such conditions.
I hope I've answered your question. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Detailed Answer:
DVT may present with swelling and pain. Touching the area above the DVT will feel hot. DVT may be asymptomatic in some cases. DVT usually causes widespread pain (or discomfort). It doesn't sound very likely in your case.
Your doctor may detect suspicious signs for DVT and may refer you for appropriate testing (triplex ultrasound scan) if necessary.

yes
Detailed Answer:
DVT is more likely to occur to persons with one or more of the following:
- obesity
- smoking
- serious medical disorders like cancer
- varicose veins
- pregnancy
- immobility (due to recent surgery, having to remain seated during a long flight or other reasons)
- contraception
- age over 60
- dehydration
In most cases, the patient should be feeling the heat above the clot. You can use the back of your hand to check for heat, which should be evident in a patient who feels pain. Redness is not common in DVT although it may occur. DVT is a very serious disorder. In the slightest suspicion of it, you should visit the ER.
