Question: Hello Doctor,

Good Morning,

I am Rajesh and i am Raising this query on behalf of my Father Mr A Gangadharan 69.5 Years old. My Father was Diagnosed Temporal Arteries 3.5 years ago and he was given the following medicine.

Wylosome 10 Mg in the Morning.

Shelcal 150

Couple of other medicines as well, however i am not having the current list of medicines that my father is taking. I will request my Dad to send me the medicines.



1) My Father is feeling Dizziness while standing, walking, Sitting and while lying down as well.

2) He is finding very week

3) My Fathers legs are very week

4) Sometimes getting numbness.



Three months ago, my Father was admitted to Hospital and he was advised to take Wylosome 15 MG in Morning and Night and was advised to reduce to 10 MG only in the morning.



I will provide the complete medicines currently my father is taking on a daily manner.

it seems like your father is suffering from fatigue/weakness , may be because of recent admission ,may be because of underlying disease.I have seen the reports that you have shared with us.
I suggest that you check his kidney function,esr, crp and cpk levels. this is the only way we can check the level of activity of his temporal arteritis and how his dosages have to be adjusted.
This will give us an indication about why he is having such severe symptoms.
Also is he taking folitrax once a week and on what dose.

For Vitamin D, do we need to take D Rise or Uprise or any other special Medicine and how often Vitamin D needs to be taken.
