
Hello Doctor, I M 34 Years And My Wife Is

I'm 34 years and my wife is 30 years old. We are using Canola Oil for cooking from past 4-5 months. We don't feel/see any cons after using.
I read few articles saying - Canola oil is not good for health. Before beliving others words i would like to confirm from a doctor.
So please advice with the Pros and Cons of using Canola Oil for daily use. And, can we use?

Canola oil is generally considered as a good and healthy oil from a medical perspective as it is very low in saturated fat and high in monounsaturated fat,
Canola oil also contains significant amounts of phytosterols which reduce the absorption of cholesterol in the body.
In this way, it protects from atherosclerosis and heart diseases.
But on the other side, it has some cons.
It undergoes high refining during extraction and contains some amount of trans fat.
This counters the beneficial effects of it on the heart.
Medical studies have indicated that it is associated with carcinogenicity and increased incidents of cancer.
Researches are still going on to validate this.
In my opinion, it is good for you if used in moderation.
Overuse should be avoided.
