Hello Doctor, I Went Through Complete Blood Exam Around 1.5

Question: Hello Doctor,
I went through complete blood exam around 1.5 months ago and found that my Hemoglobin A1c is 5.8%. It is mentioned that anything above 5.7% comes under prediabetes. I am little worried if this increased my chances of getting diabetes. I did few changes in my diet post this report. Previously I used to have coffee with a lot of whipped cream almost every second day. Also, I used to have a lot of sugary food items like XXXXXXX cheesecake, Croissant etc. This food habit continued for almost 6-7 months. After the report, I completely stopped whipped cream, XXXXXXX Cheesecake, Croissant etc but have ice creams and cake occasionally. However, I am consuming 2 mangoes per day from almost last 1 month.
I have a query if consuming 2 mangoes per day will increase my chance of getting diabetes. None of my parents have diabetes.
Also, I have a question regarding "Total Protein" in the attached report. It says my Total protein is higher than expected. Does this mean that I should take less protein diet?
As per my primary doctor, there is nothing to worry about Total protein and prediabetes as its slightly high. The only concern she mentioned was about High Cholesterol but for that she asked to take less cholesterol diet and do some exercise. She will continue to monitor cholesterol for next 2 months before she decides if I should take any medicine. My family has a history of high cholesterol.
Request for your advice on "Total Protein" and Prediabetes.
Thanks & Regards,

Brief Answer:
About high Hba1c;
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!
I have gone carefully through your concern.
To judge about prediabetes you should check the blood sugar fasting and 2 hour after breakfast, twice a week.
If the values are higher than normal than we can say you have prediabetes and start cutting carbohydrates from diet and physical activity.
Regarding to the food that have high calorie index, we can mention sweets, grain products but fruits are recommended in a limited amount ( usually 2 fruits per day are ok).
The protein level reported can be considered normal and there is no need for diet.
Hope the information will help.
Will be a pleasure to help you further.
Best wishes,
