Question: Hello Doctor

Just want to ask you about ice pick headaches; I just want to ask about it because I have had it a couple of times for the past few years.

It comes out of nowhere, I remember I had them 3 years ago, they happend like 1-2 times a day for like 3 days and then they disappeared for weeks and months and then they didnt come back. And now years after I have experianced them again, just a sharp pain around the right eye or template for 1-2 seconds and then it dissapeared and leave no other symptom other than me being afraid :O ..

I have read a lot of this and I can remember when they happend 2-3 years ago; I was stressed and didnt sleep that much; and today when it happend again; I can say yesterday and the day before yesterday was stressful.

I have read about they are not dangerous and so on, but I still get scared sometimes, even they have only accoured a few times for a couple of years and long between them.

Is this something that happens just out of the blue and maybe because of stress or other triggers and do I have anything to worry about ?
Im a healthy and fit person and dont suffer from any serious disease.

yes I understand and I dont think any medication is nessecary for me, the only thing I need to hear or feel is that someone is telling me where those sharp 1-2 seconds headache are coming from ? and why they feel so uncomfortable and leave me anxiety.

I never suffer from headaches or migraines and never take any pain-medication

Not hungry no :) this happend short after eating this time; but maybe I havent been drinking enough water; that could be a reason. There is almost no sun exposure this time of the year here.

But I think this happening short after stressful days could be the reason why and maybe thats the symptom I should treat and avoid.

I suffer from nose sinus problems in the winter and must use a netipot to keep my nose clean and healthy; maybe this is a symptom from sinus pressure also, even it just a quick 1-2 second migraine jolt pain.

When it happened 3 years ago I had general anxiety and stress; I had a job I didnt like and I had hiatal henria and gerd and didnt sleep much.

2 years ago I did have hiatal hernia and nissan fundoplication; so I never had reflux again and I never suffered from this sharp headache again; until now few days ago and maybe once or twice since 3 years ago, nothing that felt alarming anyway.

The stress I had this past days was just arguing with my parents and my wife and this cold war thing between us. I didnt suffer any symptom while it was ongoing>; but now its resolved and everything is good again I just feel tired and I got this symptoms in the morning. But now they are gone and I just keep thinking about them. This what if what if.
