Hello Doctor, My Period Dates For The Past Three Months

Detailed answer below.
Detailed Answer:
HI XXXXXXX
Thanks for the query.I understand your concern.
Your blood reports are within normal limits(excluding thyroid or prolactin hormone as a cause for your irregular periods ). &confirms Pcod.
You were advised tab Duphaston , 5 days course , which induced withdrawal bleeding in month of October.Mostly such bleeding starts within 2-8 days of stopping Duphaston..in absence of pregnancy.
This month you did not get period after 10 days of stopping Duphaston. This can be-
-late withdrawal bleeding due to hormonal imbalance caused by pcod...or,
-May be spontaneous ovulation followed by conception..where duphaston helped to maintain pregnancy &it did not cause bleeding this time.
*In such a case you can go for home pregnancy test of urine..to exclude/confirm pregnancy.
Please consult your gynecologist with result..
So that you would be advised specifically about medication for avoiding pregnancy from 25th Nov. to 10th of Dec..
I hope that helps.Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks

Thank you for your response. There is no pregnancy as specified in the ultrasound nor is there any chance of it atm. What other could be the reason behind this delay in withdrawal bleeding? Is it something to be concerned about?
Need to be patient to get a result &then needful management
Detailed Answer:
HI XXXXXXX
Thanks for the follow up query. Please find the answer below.
Diagnosis of pregnancy by sonography is possible at 5 weeks gestation of pregnancy...so the reading you had might miss it.
Anyway,if there is no possibility of pregnancy..the cause for this dealy can be Pcod itself(which is characterized by irregular hormonal imbalance.)
Psychological stress is anther factor which enhances hormonal imbalance&delay in bleeding .So please keep Kool.
In such a condition you should wait for bleeding patiently 2 weeks maximum.& if it does not occur till then you need another consultation, examination &may be usg scan before any other medication is advised. Please consult your gynecologist for that.
Hope that satisfies you.Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks
