Hello Doctor, My Wife Is 5th Month Pregnant By IVF.

Question: Hello Doctor,
My wife is 5th month pregnant by IVF. on 22.03.2019 her TSH Value was 2.67. Today on 01.04.2019 her TSH Value is 3.91. currently she is taking 50 mg Thyroxine tablet. Is it normal or should increase thyroxine dose.

The levels of normal TSH vary during pregnancy. In the second trimester- during the fifth month the levels should be less than 4.0. Your wife's level is gradually increasing. It is best to wait for 2 weeks and repeat the test again. In case the TSH levels are more than 4.0 then consider increasing the dose of thyronorm after consulting her gynecologist.
