Question: Hello Doctor,

Sorry for the delayed response. Thank you very much for your expert advise every single time. I am going through lot of troubles so was was not being able to respond earlier.

Currently, I feel pain on my head. It has started from the right side at the back but now it is spreading towards left. My left chick is swollen and I feel like something is travelling inside my head, something liquid or puss, I am not sure what it is but I feel pain all the time. I had to go to the Emergency room and they did blood work and found my ESR at 33. It has increased from 20 to 33.

Moreover, I do take stress a lot, every incident if it does not go as planned so if something disappoints me I get stressed very fast and that gives me headache, vomiting sensation, fatigue, restless and many more. I just need to know what is wrong with me, why do I get stressed so fast, so easily. I get angered also easily, what do I do to get reduce stress ad reduce anger problems. ER room only told me about my high ESR apart from that nothing they found in my blood. Please advise how to know what is going on in my head and why do I get stressed and angered so fast.

Thanks & Regards,

Brief Answer:
Probably stress related symptoms, follow the advice below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I understand your concern.

The headache may be related to sinusitis.

This is the inflammation of the sinus lining.

It also cause an accumulation of the mucous or push in the sinuses and swelling of the cheek.

I suggest to do an x-ray of the sinuses to confirm the diagnosis and take proper treatment.

The fact that you get angered so fast can be related to stress and anxiety.

I suggest to follow a healthy lifestyle, eat healthy, sleep well and manage the stress.

I also recommend to exercise daily.

If the symptoms continue you may try an anxiolytic such as Diazepam to reduce the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello Doctor,

My headache is constant and its is very painful, it is entirely on the right side of my head. Sometimes it is 9/10, sometimes 6-7/10. It varies a lot but since I am loosing weight so was trying to ask you which direction shall I go to get faster treatment. Can sinusitis cause weight loss?

Once I ate a blue berry, I saw it did not got digested and went through my stool, so I was thinking if there is anything serious going on with me. I will upload the results of the ER visit, kindly can you share your advise.

Your symptoms can be related to sinusitis.

Sinusitis can cause weight loss due to appetite loss.

It also causes a constant headache.

I suggest using anti-inflammatory medication to help the headache such as Ibuprofen 400 my three times a day.

I suggest using a saline nasal spray.

If the symptoms continue I suggest taking a cycle of antibiotics such as Augmentin 625 mg twice a day for five days.

Brief Answer:
Weigh loss is probably related to sinusitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I understand your concern.

The unintentional weight loss can be related to sinusitis.

It is an infection which can give fatigue and weight loss if it is left untreated.

I also suggest to check the thyroid function.

For the abdominal pain I suggest to do a urine test and a pelvic ultrasound for further evaluation.

Meanwhile, I suggest to take the painkillers such as Ibuprofen.

I also recommend a magnesium and vitamin B12 supplement.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
