Question: Hello Doctor,

This is regarding couple of brown patches on my face and Chest (Attached Photos). I got a brown patch on my chest around 1-1.5 years back. Though it looks similar to coupe of patches I have near to my left side of the chest (These are darker than the one I am worried about and exist from at least 4-5 years) but little worried if this can be anywhere a symptom of something serious like Skin Cancer.
Request for your advice.

Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have read your query and viewed the image .

The brown patch on your face looks like it is Melasma whereas the patch on chest is most likely a superficial fungal infection i.e pityriasis versicolor. Do not worry about these being serious or related to skin cancer.
