Hello Dr, I Am 35 Year Male Married With A

Question: Hello Dr, I am 35 year male married with a 5 year old son. This topic is little sesitive but I think i need to share all details for proper investigation and medicine recommendation. For around past 2 year i dont feel relieved after i have urinated. Its like its not done to full satisfaction and something is blocking or holding back last portion of urine. This feeling of blocking is majorly where penis ends and testicles begin. After I've urinated, i feel like some of it is still left and due to this i stay longer in bathroom and after like 2-3 minutes little urine is passed as drops or sometimes in flow. This session due to time convinience at home extends easily around 10 minutes or multiple visits to bathroom in office. Kindly, let me know if i need to provide further details on the matter. Waiting for your diagnosis and reply. PS: I am under regular medication for generalized anxiety disorder and depression since past 3 years, list of medicines below: 1. Fluvaxin 50mg - OD 2. Frisium 2.5 mg or 5mg - OD 3. Lamosyn 25 mg - OD ( Since last 1 month) 4. Prestiq 100mg -OD (Discontinued and replaced by above listed Lamosyn 25mg) Kind regards, Ankit
Brief Answer:
Ultrasound scan
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
You need an ultrasound and a urine routine test.
The chances of either a stone , a stricture or stenosis of urethra is more here. The block aid t the urine flow could be due to many other reasons but these are the commonest.
I suggest to get a scan done which will rule out all three.
Also a urine routine test would rule out any sort of infections and any active internal injuries if any.
Regards,
Ultrasound scan
