Question: Hello Dr I received my ultrasound report and my doctor said everything was normal. I got a copy of it recently And there was words that make me think it’s not OK. It reads that there were in Inguinal subcutaneous heterogeneous Lesion measuring up to 1 cm on the right side and 0.9 cm on the left side no specific and may represent small sip you can use my pain meds or lymph nodes. Everywhere I look online it says that the word Patrou lesion measuring up to 1 cm on the right side and 0.9 cm on the left side no specific and may represent Subcutaneous small lymph nodes or lipomas. I looked up the verbage online
It said heterogeneous means malignant. A few days ago I cited to get an MRI and the MRI findings said that the nose were normal and that the groin was normal no math or adenopathy.
I am very confused and worried about these two seemingly opposite results.I
Would appreciate any help .
Thank you Dr.

FNAC test

Detailed Answer:

Hi

I have gone through your reports

I would advise you to do a fine needle aspiration cytology test from subcutaneous heterogeneous lesion measuring up to 1 cm on the right side to rule out malignancy

Now I’m very worried because no one has suggested this due to my MRI being normal. So heterogeneous means cancer?
