Brief Answer:
Do following simple tests yourself to know whether you have Phimosis

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query.
Following two basic tests done by yourself will help you to know whether you have Phimosis or not
1) Try to retract the fore skin gently over the Glans penis when in flaccid state .If you are unable to retract it, it suggest that you have a Phimosis
2) Try to retract foreskin over glans penis after erection .If the retraction is painful or if foreskin develops cracks during retraction it suggests that you have partial Phimosis .

In both the cases treatment is to undergo surgery of Circumcision .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.

Hi Dr... I%E2%80%99m able to retract it at both times, but when erect, its really tight to pull down and back up, like a rubber band. It doesn%E2%80%99t glide back and forth smoothly like others. What can be done about it?

Brief Answer:
Better get Circumcision done

Detailed Answer:
Hell
Thanks for follow up .

If retraction is not smooth and in case you are facing problem in intercourse you may get circumcision done .

This is a simple surgery done under local anesthesia as a out patient procedure and offers permanent cure and helps to have enjoyable sex for rest of the life.

Consult qualified Urologist or General surgeon for clinical assessment .He would be te best person to decide regarding need for surgery .

Thanks and Regards.

Dr.. sorry forgot to ask one question.. will leaving the foreskin pulled down all day help to stretch/loosen it if I want to avoid circumcision? I think it may also help to de-sensitize the sensitive penis head?
