Hello Dr.'s I Used To Have Asmathic Symptoms Due To

Question: Hello Dr.'s
I used to have asmathic symptoms due to my allergies when I was about 2-8 yrs of age (I'm 23 now). I no longer show asmathic symptoms and I haven't had any for the years since then, but due to the spreading of the Coronavirus and it's tendency to attack the respiratory system, I'm wondering if I am one of the people more at risk to develop severe symptoms. I'm considered an essential worker, so my job is still open however, I was wondering if I should really consider staying home as a result of my previous asthmatic history.
Thank you for your time, and thank you for helping keep us safe during these times :)

Brief Answer:
not high risk
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
asthma may be a factor contributing to a worse outcome when infected with the SARS-Corona Virus 2. Since you'd not had any attacks since your childhood, you cannot be considered as a person at high risk for serious complications. If you can work from home though, then staying at home is recommended.
I hope I've answered your question. Please let me know if you need further assistance.
