Hello! First, Some Background. I Have Panic Attacks Severe Enough

Question: Hello! First, some background. I have panic attacks severe enough to land me in the emergency room before. I'm also a very high-stress person, so please try not to say anything to alarm unless it is your professional medical opinion. Over the past few months I've been having stabbing pains in the center of my chest. I'm 24 years old with no general health problems. I work out and don't have issues with exertion. These pains seem to come on with no clear cause. Why might that be? it feels like it's in the ends of my ribs. I went to an urgent care once and I was told it was probably indigestion. What do you think?

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
I read your query and understand your concerns.
Considering the fact that you are high stress person, young female of 24 years, no medical condition till date, diagnosis of indigestion in emergency room for the same problem, Appearance of pain irrespective of any physical activity or exertion the possibility of pain arising from anxiety need to be ruled out.
In other words I do not think there is something other than stress which is responsible for your stabbing pain in center of chest.
I hope this helps you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.
