Question: Hello, For about 5 months now I have been trying to figure out what has been going on what is going on with my genital area. I thought I had an STD about 5 months ago got all tests done and everything, all which came back negative. I even went to a urologist who also said nothing seems to be wrong but I can clearly see red irritation on the head of my penis and also some red dots on my penis gland. I then again took a STD test to double check the first tests and once again all were negative.....fast forwarding to now I have been with someone for 2 months and she has gotten a yeast infection and now was just diagnosed with bacterial Vaganosis. I still have this red irritation on my penis, I need help figuring out what this could be if it is not an STD.

Brief Answer:
Topical and oral antifungal

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Yes, circumcised individuals can get a yeast infection. I suggest you to use an otc topical antifungal e.g clotrimazole 1% cream, twice daily. In addition I suggest you to take a single dose of an oral antifungal e.g fluconazole 150mg tablet.
take care.

Regarding STDs

Detailed Answer:
hi.
Yeast infection can be passed sexually. Bacterial vaginosis is not an STD. Even though bacterial vaginosis though is more common in sexually active females it cannot be passed on to males.
take care.
