Hello. For Three Months I Did Not Leave My House

Question: Hello. For three months I did not leave my house at all. This past week I had to go back to work on a limited schedule. My new boss decided we should go out for lunch outdoors just the two of us. I agreed against my better judgement. We sat outside at a restaurant. The restaurant was very very clean and careful. But still, I am worried about the interaction with my boss. He is not sick but I know that he could be asymptomatic or presymptomatic. I hear conflicting information. I see people go outdoor dining with friends. What is my risk level in this situation and when should I go get tested?

Brief Answer:
Keep an eye on any concerning symptoms

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for trusting us with your health concern

Given your history, there is no evidence for definite exposure to COVID-19. However, as you had mentioned people could be asymptomatic and you can be exposed even without knowing about it.

Your risk for infection cannot be predicted at this point.

You can keep an eye on the onset of any symptoms like headache, fever, sore throat, cough, loss of taste and appetite, etc. If any symptoms develop, then you will need to be tested. Otherwise, testing is not required right now.

Make sure you follow proper hand sanitization, face-covering, and social distancing guidelines while out in public.

Hope this answers your question.
