Brief Answer:
SUBSTITUE MEDICINE......
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to hcm,
Progyluton tablets are combined oral contraceptive pills containing- estradiol valerate 2mg and Norgestrel 0.5mg however OVRAL-G tab also contaions the same combination but in a lower dosage of ethinyl estradiol 0.05mg and Norgestrel 0.5mg. So Ovral G is a low dose pill as compared to Proglyton and hence it is not a substitute.
The other brand which is similar to PROGYLUTON is CYCLO-PROGYNOVA with similar streghths.
I hope you will find this information helpful,
Wishing you good health,
Regards

It is not recommended if progyluton is being advised for post menopausal syndrome but incase you are not post menopausal then OVRAL-g CAN BE OPTED FOR regularization of cycles .

Hello,
If the medication was for regularization of periods , then you were wrongly prescribed Progyluton. OVRAL-G would be best for you with daily dosage at low dose hormones for irregular menses.

Am not post menopausal but was using to regulate my cycles. I am just concerned the impact this will have if I suddenly change from Progyluton to Ovral G
Will I continue to have my period As usual even with a lower dose of ethynil estradiol?

I never had any problems with Progyluton. It’s been working for me for years now.
So I guess I can shift to Ovral G.

Hello,
Yes, a low dose oral combined hormonal pill like OVRAL-G would be better for treating the irregularity in menses rather than High oestrogen pill which is used usually for HRT or hormone replacement therapy post menopause.
