Hello, I Am 31 Y.o Female. I Had My Gallbladder
Question: Hello, I am 31 y.o female. I had my gallbladder removed in November 2012, then I had an ERCP done and had a stent placed in my common bile duct. The past year I have been experiencing intermittent pain in upper right quadrant, about 2 inches up and the the right from my belly button. Recently, it has been causing more pain, more often. I am concerned that the stent has moved. From what I have read online, stents are supposed to be removed 3-6 months after the procedure. Does this warrant a trip to the ER for tests? Or should I wait and go through a GP.

Hello,
Yes a little bit of acid reflux, but not as extreme when I was first diagnosed with Gallstones. The pain I am experiencing now is a deep ache. When I move, twist or bend it can be stabbing/sharp. I don't have any other symptoms like fever or dark urine.

Hi there and thanks for follow up,
I would suggest you to take tablet Prizolec 40 mg twice daily for 2 days if pain does not responds to it slightly then visit the Emergency room/GP/Gastroenterologist as maximum time for which a stent can be placed post ERCP is 10-12 months...
Thank you!
