Brief Answer:
Better visit a doctor and get an x-ray.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

I think that if you feel that the big toe of your foot is broken the best thing to do is to visit orthopedist doctor to check it . The doctor may do a x-ray to see if it is fractured, what type of fracture it is in order to determine the way of treatment ( immobilisation or surgery).
Your doctor may use a cast or tape it to the other toe to keep it immobilised .
You can use ibuprofen for pain and swelling. Elevate the limb and use cold compresses to reduce swelling.
Avoid movements as much as you can.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
