Question: Hello.. I am 68 and over the last year i usually masturbate in the shower twice a week. The last few days I noticed part of the skin area inside my penis has turned red and itchy with a few little skin bumps appearing as i tried to use E45 cream to calm it down. I now realise i should not of used this. Can you recommend a health creme to heel the skin/itch to bring back the normal skin colour
and should i stop masturbating until then.

Brief Answer:
Apply cortisone cream, avoid masturbation

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to ask a doctor service
I have gone through your query and your problem could be due to friction associated with masturbation.
I would recommend you to apply topical steroid like cortisone cream on the affected areas twice daily for 5-7 days.
This should resolve it.
Meanwhile you should avoid masturbation till then.

White soft paraffin cream can be purchased by chemist shops.
